About KAPMI

Kateel Ashok Pai Memorial Institutions is a group of Institutions started by Manasa Trust, Shivamogga. Late. Dr. K A Ashok Pai, founder of the trust was an internationally renowned community psychiatrist, writer, filmmaker, philanthropist and a pioneer in the field of mental health.

The group consists of:

1. Kateel Ashok Pai Memorial College, established in 2017 and affiliated to Kuvempu University, Shivamogga
2. Kateel Ashok Pai Memorial Institute of Allied Health Science, established in 2019 and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru
3. Kateel Ashok Pai Memorial Institute of Nursing, established in 2024 and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru

Kateel Ashok Pai Memorial Institute of Nursing

This is a new unit of Manasa Trust affiliated to Rajeev Gandhi University of Health Sciences and recognised by the Karnataka State Nursing Council located at the picturesque campus at Malligenahalli at a distance of 5 KMS from Shivamogga city. The campus occupies 1.30 acres of land and the Institute of Nursing is housed in a spacious fully equipped building. Large spacious class-rooms, fully equipped laboratories as specified by Indian Nursing Council, canteen, indoor sports and extra-curricular activity space are available in the building. These enhance joyful learning for nursing students. It is located in Shivamogga, a hospitable, fast developing city connected by road, rail and air to major cities in Karnataka. An educational hub with four medical colleges, best hospitals in the state, colleges and a university, a leading cultural centre, it is a gateway to picturesque tourist places visited by millions from all over the world.
