AWARENESS PROGRAM - CERVICAL CANCER

Awareness Program on the Role of Vaccine in Preventing Cervical Cancer was organized by KAMPI Nursing College on 16th October 2025 at Bahumuki Hall from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The session aimed to enhance awareness among students and faculty about cervical cancer prevention, the importance of vaccination, and early screening.The program highlighted the significance of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination as a key preventive measure against cervical cancer, which remains one of the most common cancers affecting women worldwide. The session was conducted by the Resource Person – Dr. Namratha Udupa, Oncologist, Nanjappa life care shimogga. Her presentation focused on the clinical aspects of cervical cancer, the efficacy of vaccines, and the national immunization guidelines.
